What is Infrasound and EVP
We at Paranormal Ulster believe that Spiritual sounds/ voices can be more commonly heard at the extreme end of our hearing range which is below 20Hz , this is known as Infrasound. We are presently using specialised audio equipment operated by professional audio technicians to capture this phenomenon at haunted locations.

what is infrasound >>>
Infrasound is sound that is lower in frequency than 20 cycles per second, the normal limit of human hearing. Hearing becomes gradually less sensitive as frequency decreases, so for humans to perceive infrasound, the sound pressure must be sufficiently high. The ear is the primary organ for sensing infrasound, but at higher levels it is possible to feel infrasound vibrations in various parts of the body.
The study of such sound waves is sometimes referred to as infrasonics, covering sounds beneath 20 Hz down to 0.001 Hz. This frequency range is utilized for monitoring earthquakes, charting rock and petroleum formations below the earth, and also in ballistocardiography and seismocardiography to study the mechanics of the heart. Infrasound is characterized by an ability to cover long distances and get around obstacles with little dissipation.
What is EVP:
Electronic voice phenomena (EVP) are recordings of voice or voice-like sounds that are not audible to the human ear. The frequencies of these sounds are reportedly well below the range of sounds that can be perceived by the human ear. Typically, but not always, they are short having a length of only one word or a short phrase.
A great deal of study has gone into EVP since the 1920's. Even Thomas Edison, when interviewed, stated "it is possible to construct an apparatus which will be so delicate that if there are personalities in another existence ... this apparatus will at least give them a better opportunity to express themselves". That first device was the electronic recording.
Those who wish to find out the source of these mysterious voices on their tape recordings, none of which are heard until the tape is replayed, have gone to great lengths to eliminate these obvious possibilities. They have recorded voices in heavily shielded rooms specifically designed to prevent radio wave penetration. Another experiment that has been repeated often and with great success is in asking specific questions while recording and leaving a silence between them in case there is an answer. Quite often when they play back the recording, they find that some one or something, has responded directly to the question asked, often naming the querant personally. The odds of this being random radio interference has been calculated as being so high that winning the lottery would be an everyday occurrence by comparison.
EVP falls under three types of recordings: ( Electronic Voice Phenomenon )
Not all EVP audio recordings are clear enough to understand what is being said. EVP researchers use the following "classes" to determine how clear a particular EVP is.
Class A - Class A voices can be heard and understood over a speaker by most people. Just because a voice is loud does not mean it is a Class A recording. Recordings of this type must be capable of being understood by most people.
Class B - Class B voices can be heard over a speaker but not everyone will agree about what was said. Most EVP recordings fall into Class B.
Class C - Class C voices can only be heard with headphones and are usually difficult to understand. Note: Class B or C voices can have one or two clearly understood words.
It's normal to feel frustrated when you can't understand what's being said on an EVP recording. Understand though, that not all EVP's can be understood. Some of them will always remain a mystery.
