PARANORMAL ULSTER
Investigation in the Crown Bar
3rd April 2008
Mike and the team met up in a very busy Crown Bar.
We set up our base in the restaurant which was once a meeting place for the ladies of the night. Amelia is a very famous Spirit who haunts the Crown. Her life was ended when she was pushed down the stairs.
THE INVESTIGATION.
Once cameras were set up and protection done we began our seance at the table where Amelia had been seen.
Very quickly, contact was made with Amelia who gave us her year of birth as 1850 and the year of her death as 1888.
Her contact was abruptly ended by the entrance of a pimp David Pux, Born 1905 and Died 1967 , He was a very nasty man and very cruel to the women who worked for him. There was not a good feeling of this Spirit. The gas lamps were constantly dimming and flashes of light were seen in the restaurant. He stood in the corner and watched us. We moved to the top of the staircase where Amelia met her fate and he followed us. Mike was pushed and a few of the girls were made to feel uncomfortable. Another nasty man came through called Ian Mullan. He did not like us being there and objected to the women being present in the room. He hated women.
AFTER HOURS
We moved our equipment down to the main bar. A few of the bar staff who were non believers remained behind.
We all stood round a small bar table and were amazed when the table started to move at speed in circles round the bar floor. Everyone had a job keeping up with the table and Mike ended up on his knees on the floor. A lady was heard to speak from behind the bar. We all heard her.
Our non believers were now believers.
FINAL RESULT
Amelia is still controlled by David Pux and was not allowed to communicate with us again. He and Ian Mullan treated the women very badly. They stopped at nothing even murder to control them. They were the ones responsible for moving the table in circles of 360 degrees. The Crown Bar is one of the most haunted locations we have been to and as we have been told there are six spirits in the building so Paranormal Ulster will be returning at a later date.
PARANORMAL ULSTER
1st INVESTIGATION
GRACE NEILLS BAR AND RESTAURANT
DONAGHADEE
MONDAY 7th APRIL 2008
Mike and the Paranormal Ulster team met up in the small public bar. It was decided to use the upstairs rooms for the first investigation as this was the living quarters in Grace Neill's time. After protection we began our seance and very shortly the first contact was made. Mike was given the name Miller and we were unsure if this was his name or occupation. He was seen to be wearing a long white garment. One of the team sensed he was wearing a shroud and had been laid out in this room. He made his presence known behind one of the girls and tugged her hair. The temperature was dropping in the room.
LATER THAT NIGHT.
Downstairs in the restaurant we set up our cameras and sat around a bar table where a customer's glass had moved. It was not long before we got intelligent response by a series of vibrational knocks coming from the table. The spirit identified herself as Grace Neill and was happy to make contact with us. She happily knocked her answers to questions which were asked. Two knocks for yes and one knock for no. Everyone in the room including several bar staff experienced and felt these knocks. Grace told us she still loved to smoke her pipe and still drank a measure of Rum.
THE SUMMARY
We learned from Grace through her knocks that Miller was the mans name and he had been killed at the Battle of the Copelands and had been laid out in that room. We think he was a relation of hers as she had half brothers and sisters. Grace informed us she always sat at that table. Before the extension this part of the building would have been outdoors so was she sitting at the entrance of an old tunnel waiting for the smugglers? We did'nt find out tonight. We would have to return on a later date.

2nd INVESTIGATION
GRACE NEILLS BAR AND RESTAUTANT
DONAGHADEE
WEDNESDAY 23rd APRIL 2008
Anniversary of the Battle of the Copelands
Mike and the Paranormal Ulster team met up with Ian our cameraman and David the sound man. We sat in the upstairs front room and after protection we sat around the table and began the seance. Miller very quickly came through by a series of knocks , this time he brought one of his ship mates with him. He had also been killed in the Battle of the Copelands. We asked Miller for more evidence and the table began to move. At first it felt like a boat swaying and and then moved across the floor and changed direction on command. At one time it circled 180 degrees. This was all caught on night vision cam and the footage can be seen on our web site and You Tube.
SUMMARY:
Upstairs was a truly successful night. The Paranormal experience we had with Miller and his friend was powerful. This was true spirit interaction. Downstairs we didn't make contact with spirit but we were not disappointed as all the activity was upstairs. The spirit world decide when they come and when they go and we must respect their wishes. Of course we will be returning to the Pub once again to link in with Grace and her friends in the not to distant future.
PARANORMAL ULSTER
INVESTIGATION
DOWNTOWN RADIO STATION, KILTONGA, MILECROSS , NEWTOWNARDS
SUNDAY 18TH MAY 2008
Mike and Friends of Paranormal Ulster met Lisa Flavelle and Don in the studios of Downtown Radio. After a walk around we all agreed to set up our equipment in a studio at the back of the building. With us we had John an audioman with special recording equipment and Ian the cameraman who is making a documentary with us.
The History of the area.
Kiltonga means the Church on the Tong of land. There were various religious orders in the area from the 6th century. The first church to be built was made of wood. Unfortunately the history of the area is very limited. The Bradshaw family moved to Mile cross in 1796. James Bradshaw who was licensed as an inspector in the linen trade , began his own water powered linen factory . The Bradshaw family were Quakers and helped in the building of a meeting house in 1796.
The Investigation Begins.
After protection we sat in seance. Mike sensed through his third eye chakra the spirit of a man , he was also shown a stained glass window. He also sensed we were sitting at a lower level and people were looking down at us. One was a male with a white beard. The people were wearing white sashes around their waists and had small hats. Were these people some sort or religious sect ? As this was going on the batteries were failing in the recording equipment and Lisa's studio recording device stopped for no reason. Using a glass and the ouija board a male and female spirit made themselves known. They identified themselves as Humphrey and Lorna. They had fallen in love and were not permitted to be together as they were of different faiths. Earlier in the night Val and Mike had sensed water in the area. Using the letters on the board we learned they had been drowned, possibly by their religious persecutors. Humphrey was born in 1585 and died in 1612. Lorna was born in 1586 and also died in 1612. During this session John the soundman had been picking up many small knocks on his recording equipment. The final seance brought us small knocks, someone whistling and the table vibrating. We were still in contact with Humphrey. All this was recorded with very sensitive microphones which pick up noise that the human ear cannot hear called Infrasound. One of the group kept having the name Henry imposed on her.
Final result.
The evidence we picked up is years before the Quakers came to Kiltonga and possibly medieval . There is evidence of stained glass being used in that early period. As there is no historical reference to the religious sect we are unsure who they were. We believe Humphrey and Lorna are grounded and need to be released. The name Henry when researched was found to be a member of the Bradshaw family. A Historian later confirmed some of our investigational findings when he appeared with Paranormal Ulster on Downtown Radio with Lisa Flavelle.
