A thirst for the evidence..... a thirst for the investigation

Paranormal Ulster carried out an investigation at Richill Castle nr Portadown on Tuesday 7 July 2009, this wasn't our first visit here but one of the most amazing we have ever made anywhere, doors being opened and the most incredible table tipping we have ever experienced. At one stage the table we were using was tipped nearly to the floor and balanced on one leg for over one minute, the only contact we had with the table was with our fingertips. The table was also turning around the room in 360 degrees circles. Please take a look at our film footage page for the amazing night vision footage of the table tipping and this incredible phenomena. (on website very soon)
Paranormal Ulster have carried out one of there most unusual investigations to date, they visited Binders Cove (Finnis Souterrain) on Tuesday 30 June 2009, Binders Cove is a small set of ancient tunnels dating back to the 9th century which is set in the countryside of County Down. Our investigation was very interesting and we captured what we think is some very interesting evidence whilst underground. Souterrains were "underground stone lined tunnels". Because there was much clann feuding and raiding from foreign invaders such as the Vikings in the Early Christian period, souterrains are thought to have been places of refuge for the occupants of the monastery or its attached enclosure. They may also have been 'safes' where valuable gold and silver religious artefacts were kept. As they were dark, cold and dry, food might also have been stored in them. Paranormal Ulster plan to make regular visits to the site in the near future. The site is reputed to be haunted and visitors have seen strange figures from within the tunnels. Also to the bottom of our photos you will see a few images of a strange looking tree and a pub, this tree is reputed to be haunted and is located in the tiny village of Finnis in County Down. In the early years of the 20th century a malevolent spirit is said to have haunted the area around the Dree Hill Road bridge, in the centre of Finnis, which spans the upper reaches of the River Lagan. By this bridge stood a large and beautiful sycamore tree. Knowing the terror the bridge set in the hearts of his parishioners, the village priest set out to exorcise the spirit and managed to capture it in a bottle. He then placed the bottle of spirits inside the sycamore tree.
